BioHub is a company promoting the marine sector, focused on biotechnology and implementation of IMTA (Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture). It is a new Centre for innovation, diversity and synergies between businesses related to the marine sector. Here different initiatives can meet together and create more value to themselves, relative to competitors, by developing the potentials of Blue Economy in a sustainable way.
BioHub is located in an area of 150 hectares of salines, in Portugal, very close to Lisbon. At the heart of one of the richest and diverse marine ecosystems, here is the perfect place for sustainable projects to grow and benefit from the excellent conditions of the water quality, the high biodiversity and the climate.
Furthermore we will function as a platform to promote and sell the products of the several companies and projects settled in Biohub (organic fish, seaweed, sea cucumber, biocosmetics, oysters, salt flower, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, etc).
